Why Pakistan is an Islamic country?

The world today is divided into many countries, regions, groups and continents. The reasons behind this division are definitely more than one. It can be ethnic, lingual, tribal or religious. There are only few countries on the surface of earth which came in to existence solely on the bases of religion and ideology.
Pakistan is the first ever country which was meant to be an Islamic state, a place where the true teachings or Islam will be followed and implemented in every field. Where the word of Allah will dominate and a true Islamic welfare state will emerge as a role model for rest of the world. But unfortunately, so far this goal has not been achieved.
If someone asks why Pakistan is an Islamic state and why it cannot be declared as a secular state?
The simple answer is that, if someone wants that the system and constitution of Pakistan should be secular then the question will arise “what was the purpose of division of subcontinent in to Pakistan and India?” United India was best place to practice secularism.
Why more than .3 million people sacrificed their lives, thousands were injured, many became orphans and widows? They sacrificed Just to create a secular state within a secular state or to establish an Islamic state where they can practice their religion freely?
Pakistan came in to being as an Islamic state on the demand of Muslims of subcontinent because they have different identity, traditions, life style, customs and religion. And it is quite logical and rational that the state of Pakistan should be run according to the will of those who have their bloods in the foundation of this country. And without any ambiguity they want Islam to be practiced.

First Asian free-trade agreement expected between China, Japan and S-Korea

The three great regional countries agreed to come close and have talks about trilateral agreement for free-trade zone. If it comes true, it will really play a vital role in economic development and prosperity of region as a whole. It is not a new idea came suddenly in media; working committees were busy in this regard since 2008. After Europe, this step in Asia will open doors of opportunity for many other regional countries as well. So far it is only at theoretical level, the execution of this idea will take time.

Meanwhile when we are waiting for this agreement to occur, we should not ignore the factors which will try to sabotage this to happen. Especially when china is involved as a leading country, its rivals will try to destroy this emerging cooperative atmosphere, and as per my perception, S-Korea is much close to America than China, may be at any moment of time USA tries to force S-Korea to withdraw from signing any such agreement.

But so far it is a speculation and needs ample proof to be accepted. But no loop holes should be left for others to misuse the situation. Hope this dream will become true and the regional economy will see the prosperity in coming years.

Economical Inequality can burn the financial system

On a Fifty third story sky scrapper in Manhattan, there is a penthouse that offers beautiful unhindered views of central park, the Hudson River, and the city skyline. Its price is about $ 10 million.
A space agency is offering you to become world’s fortunate few to fly in space just like an astronaut in space mission . . . for just a few million dollars.
Unfortunately you can not view Fort Washington Armory in upper Manhattan from that $10 Million penthouse. It was opened as temporary shelter and it houses about 1000 men who sleep in one big sized room. Despair, fear of Ads and other life threatening diseases seems to be their fate.

Inequality and redistribution of wealth and has remained of main concern for the scientists of Economics for many decades. Economists are taking this issue as a threat to whole economic system if not properly discussed. In depth studies and thorough research is being in this field to analyze it impact on economy to overcome its consequences.

A recent study released by a think tank in United States suggest that the gap between Rich and Poor has been steadily widening in last three decades, as rich are getting more richer and the poor got a lot poorer.
Although this gap has remained in play from very start, however it is painful that in last 7 years balance in distribution of wealth has gone totally in the favor of rich. This gap is particularly bad because it is representing a consistent decline in the income of the poor. Studies reveal another unfortunate fact. That the distribution of poverty by race is very unequal: in United States 12 percent of white families, 31 percent of Hispanic Origin families and 33 percent of black families are below the poverty level. While in world comparison, Western countries which account less than 30 percent of world’s population have 90 percent of world’s wealth in their pockets. This inequality is not only threatening the economic system but also present great risk for peace of the world.  Riots and agitation is expected if current situation prevails.

Although many attempts are being made to repair the damages made by this inequality still a lot of work needs to be done. These attempts are called Income Redistribution Schemes. For example rich countries like United States are investing in social sector reforms and uplifting of deprived parts of poor countries. These countries are not only trying to help governments of such countries to boost country’s economy, but these also invest directly into welfare programs and charity services. However despite all these investments and efforts, the gap between rich and poor is consistently widening. Developed countries like United States, United Kingdom, Germany, China and France (G8) needs to rethink where is the problem and put efforts in right direction. Otherwise outrage would burn all things in world. Arab spring, Capture the Wall Street and other movements are just indication of turmoil under the surface. Anger can burn all theories.

Bonn confrenece: expectations and the out come

Bonn conference was first held in December 2001 to build up an Afghan Interim Authority to replace the then toppled Taliban Government and to chose a leader for Afghanistan.  Hamid Karazai was luckily selected as leader. And them in 2004 elections he was elected as President of Afghanistan. One of the major outcomes of this conference was to establish the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). Under same conference the Afghan Constitution Commission was established to draft a new constitution in consultation with the public.

The Bonn Agreement called for a loya Jirga to be convened within 18 months of the establishment of the Transitional Authority and for the use of the 1964 constitution as the basis for a new constitution. The constitution had been adopted by the loya Jirga on January 4, 2004.

Today again the conference  held in Bonn under the chairmanship of Afghan President Karazi, which urges foreign troops pull out from Afghanistan in 2014, demands international support to rebuild war-hit country.

Although the conference urges the pull-out of troops in 2014 but the President Karazai still seems afraid of comeback of Taliban as CNN reported. It says “The Taliban could make a comeback and take over Afghanistan again, the country's President Hamid Karzai warned Monday at an international conference on Afghanistan's future.
At this point of time there are many prospects which add to the value of Bonn conference:
  • ·         USA and its allies are mostly disappointed from achieving their goals, as Hamid Karazi said "Our shared goal of a stable, self-reliant Afghanistan is far from being achieved." This clearly shows that after utilizing all might and recourses for at lesst ten years the damsel of victory is still far away.
  • ·         The time of US and Allied troop’s withdrawal is only a year away, and the Taliban are still not in control, any time they can make come back.
  • ·         The Pak-Us relations after the NATO attack on Pak Army are not as good as before, so any decision about Afghanistan without the presence of Pakistan should be more wise and clever which can replace the importance of Pakistan.

In the presence of all these aspects it was expected that there would be a comprehensive plan for peace, rebuilding, and stability in Afghanistan. The overall report of the conference is hopefully good. But to be very honest, any settlement of Afghanistan without the involvement of Taliban and Pakistan cannot be assured as a long term solution.
Let us wait for the outcomes of Bonn conference, as 2014 is not too far

Global financial Crisis and “War of terror”

Since 9/11 a wide spread war against terrorism has been launched by Bush administration without defining “terrorism”. The undefined “terrorism” absolutely gave a great deal of chances to USA and allies to impose war any where and when ever under the umbrella of “War against Terrorism”. As we can see starting from Afghanistan, then attack on Iraq, then Somalia, some actions in Yemen, then a huge attack on Libya and now Pakistan.   These all chances to play the game of power to gain declared and undeclared goals from above mentioned countries.

And it was very clear from the day first that the main and core purpose of USA and allies is not to eradicate roots of terrorism from the world but it was only cover under which the real aim was hidden. And Jeremy Begin very wisely said that USA is fighting only for G.O.D. i.e. Gold, Oil and Drugs. This is the basic goal of so called war against terrorism.

But in spite of this entire struggle the result is in reverse and the campaign proved counterproductive. USA and the allies are facing financial crisis. Especially the condition of USA is well prescribed in the words of an official who says “The Global Economic Crisis has now replaced international terrorism as the most menacing threat to the national security of the United States, according to testimony by Dennis Blair, Director of National Intelligence”.

Though there could be more than one reason for the crisis which are discussed on different forums, but the many things which played very vital role in the collapse of economy is “War Against Terrorism”.
I think this is the time to think and take wise decisions to save the USA and others before it is too late, and before Wall Street is occupied.

NATO’s attack on Pak Army; the reactions and lessons

NATO forces, appointed in Afghanistan to eliminate the so called “terrorism” and to return the world the peace it enjoyed before 9/11 as per USA assumption, yesterday 26th November attacked on the check post of Pak Army in the border of Afghanistan. The reaction from Pakistan was as expected. Even we can say more than the expectations of USA and NATO. Taking action against it, Pakistan has stopped NATO supply, asked USA to vacant Shamsi Air Base within 15 days. It is really good response and appreciated country wide.

NATO chief said that is was an unintentional incident. How funny it is!. To attack an Army which is fighting you war for last 11 years is the clear proof that they consider Pakistan Army as a Terrorist group.

It is not mentioned in any analyses but I think this attack can also be a practical of the statements of USA officials that “that there would be a “very big price” if they do not take action against militant groups staging attacks in Afghanistan.”

I think it is time for Pakistan to get rid of this so called “war against terrorism” and give some relief to common people especially to the people who are living in the area of strategic depth.

And one more important aspect which we should always keep in mind is that “we differentiate between uniformed and civilians” if civilians die in any attack from outside of our border we don't put any attentions, as we are can see the reaction and response of our Government and Army. If we give every citizen equal importance and take solid and patriotic action on any interference from outside our borders we can stop happening such incidents. And we should also take a lesson that USA is not sincere with us even after giving all kind of sacrifices for more than 10  years.

what Are The Basic Reasons of Terrorism?? Poverty or Injustice

  • It is widely discussed at different platforms that the basic reason and cause for Terrorism is Poverty and illiteracy. And the argument given for this is that, because the poor people don’t find food to eat, and because of being uneducated they don’t know the modern way of life so they are easy to convince.
  • Terrorists contact them, do brain wash, offer good amount of money for their family and tell them about paradise …………….and finally they become ready to go any extent.
  • But if we put a bird eye view on the history of recent so called Terrorism we see that more then 80% people involved or accused for terrorism are well educated, belonging to very rich families. Starting for 9/11 attacks till today, all those whose names came in media or in any other sources of investigation are well off people.
  • It denotes that poverty and illiteracy is not the cause for terrorism. The injustice, violation of freedom and abuse of basic rights are the major causes of terrorism. And until and unless we removed them the dream of peace will not come true.
This is what I think …….. What do you think??
